The diversity of personality traits and social interactions mediated by the internet: a cross-country analysis

The goal of WeNet: Internet of us project is to harness the diversity of people in internet-mediated social interactions. The possible relationship between personality aspects and social interactions mediated by digital platiorms is the object of analysis of this paper, for which the Big Five (extraversion, agreeableness, responsibility, emotional stability and openness to experience) were taken into account. The relationship between these traits and behavior was established, obtained through a questionnaire and the experience of using a chatbot, in students from 4 universities: University of Trento (Italy), the National University of Mongolia, the School of Economics of London (United Kingdom) and the Universidad Católica Nuestra Señora de la Asunción (Paraguay).
