Objective: To evaluate the clinical therapeutic response, regarding pain and functionality, of an individualized kinesitherapy protocol in older adults with gonarthrosis treated at a rehabilitation center in Villarrica, Paraguay. Methodology: An observational, descriptive, and retrospective study was conducted. Forty medical records of patients (predominant age range 50-69 years) undergoing a multimodal protocol including manual therapy, progressive strengthening, and education were analyzed. Outcome variables were pain intensity (VAS), muscle strength, and gait quality, recorded evolutionarily at sessions 1, 5, 10, and 15. Results: A clinically significant reduction in pain was evidenced in 25% of the sample starting from the fifth session. Muscle strength gains were objectified by the tenth session (20%), while 30% achieved qualitative improvements in gait by session 15. Notably, 10% of patients were able to discontinue the use of technical walking aids. The dropout rate was 15%. Conclusion: The implementation of an individualized and supervised kinesitherapy protocol proved to be an effective intervention, achieving early symptomatic relief and progressive functional recovery, supporting its feasibility and relevance in routine geriatric care.
